Our Commitment to Accessibility

Aegis Health Solutions LLC ("AEGIS," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to ensuring that our website, www.aegishealthsolutions.com, is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive digital experience that allows all visitors — including prospective employer clients, members, and the general public — to navigate, understand, and interact with our website.

We believe that access to healthcare information should be barrier-free. As a Direct Primary Care provider serving Arizona employers, it is essential that our digital presence reflects the same commitment to accessibility and inclusion that we bring to patient care.

Accessibility Standards

We have adapted this site in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG is developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and provides the international standard for web accessibility.

WCAG 2.2 is organized around four core principles, requiring that web content be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.

Perceivable means that information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive. This includes providing text alternatives for non-text content, captions for multimedia, and content that can be presented in different ways without losing meaning.

Operable means that user interface components and navigation must be operable. This includes making all functionality available from a keyboard, giving users enough time to read and use content, and not designing content in a way that is known to cause seizures.

Understandable means that information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable. This includes making text readable and predictable, and helping users avoid and correct mistakes.

Robust means that content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies such as screen readers.

Accessibility Features on Our Site

Our website is built on the Wix Studio platform, which provides a number of built-in accessibility features. In addition, we have taken the following steps to enhance accessibility.

Navigation and Structure

Keyboard navigation is supported throughout the site, allowing users to navigate using the Tab, Enter, Space, and arrow keys. A "Skip to Content" feature is available for keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repeated navigation and jump directly to main content. The site's DOM (Document Object Model) is automatically arranged to support logical reading order for screen readers. Heading tags (H1, H2, H3, etc.) are used to organize content hierarchically, helping screen reader users understand page structure. ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes are implemented on interactive elements to provide additional context for assistive technologies.

Visual Design

Color contrast ratios have been reviewed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA minimum requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). The site does not rely solely on color to convey information. Focus indicators (visible outlines) are provided for interactive elements to help keyboard users identify their current position on the page. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality using standard browser zoom controls.

Images and Media

Alternative text (alt text) has been added to meaningful images throughout the site to describe their content or function for users who rely on screen readers. Decorative images are marked appropriately so they are ignored by assistive technologies. Video content, where present, includes or will include captions and/or transcripts.

Forms

All form fields on our contact and consultation request forms include descriptive labels. Required fields are clearly identified both visually and programmatically. Error messages are provided when form submissions are incomplete or contain errors, helping users identify and correct issues.

Documents

Downloadable documents (such as our DPC Employer Guide) are provided in PDF format. We are working to ensure these documents are also accessible, with proper heading structure, reading order, and alternative text for images.

Language

The site's primary language (English) has been set in the site code, enabling screen readers to use the correct pronunciation.

Third-Party Content and Known Limitations

Our website integrates with several third-party services that may have their own accessibility limitations. While we strive for full accessibility, the following areas may present challenges.

Hint Health Patient Portal — Our member login portal is operated by Hint Health (https://accounts.hint.com). The accessibility of this portal is managed by Hint Health, and we encourage them to maintain WCAG compliance. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of this third-party platform.

Embedded Media — Some embedded content, such as videos or interactive elements from third-party sources, may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. We are working with our content providers to improve accessibility of these elements.

PDF Documents — Some PDF documents on our site may not be fully accessible. We are in the process of remediating these documents and will provide accessible alternatives upon request.

Google Maps and Embedded Widgets — If used on our site, these third-party widgets may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control.

Wix Platform Limitations — While Wix provides many accessibility features, some platform-level components may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We actively monitor Wix's accessibility updates and implement improvements as they become available.

We declare partial compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA for pages that include third-party content from the providers listed above.

Accessibility Efforts and Ongoing Improvements

Web accessibility is not a one-time project — it is an ongoing commitment. We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our website. Our efforts include regular accessibility audits using Wix's built-in Accessibility Wizard and third-party evaluation tools, review of new content before publication to ensure it meets accessibility standards including proper alt text, heading structure, color contrast and form labeling, training for our content team on accessibility best practices, monitoring of Wix platform accessibility updates and implementing improvements as they become available, periodic review of third-party integrations for accessibility compliance, and testing with assistive technologies including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.

Compatibility with Assistive Technologies

Our website is designed to be compatible with screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, as well as screen magnification software, speech recognition software, keyboard-only navigation, and standard browser accessibility features and zoom controls.

Our site is best viewed in the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.

How to Request Accessible Alternatives

If you encounter any content on our website that is not accessible to you, we are happy to provide the information in an alternative format. Accessible alternatives may include plain text versions of documents, large print versions, audio descriptions, or in-person or telephone assistance.

Please contact us using the information in the Feedback and Contact Information section below to request an accessible alternative, and we will respond within 3 business days.

ADA Compliance and Legal Framework

Aegis Health Solutions is committed to compliance with applicable accessibility laws and regulations.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III — We recognize that websites are generally considered "places of public accommodation" under the ADA, and we take steps to ensure our digital content is accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act — While primarily applicable to federal agencies and their contractors, we use WCAG guidelines referenced by Section 508 as a benchmark for our own accessibility efforts.

Arizona State Requirements — We comply with all applicable Arizona state laws regarding digital accessibility and non-discrimination.

European Accessibility Act (EAA) — Although our services are currently limited to Arizona, we are aware of the EAA (effective June 28, 2025) and its requirements, and we design our site with international accessibility standards in mind.
